This Sunday, January 8: This morning, we will install our new elders and deacons. We thank the Lord for the gifts of elders and deacons to

lead, serve and equip God’s people for works of service in Christ’s kingdom.  A huge thank you to Elders Bruce Kreun and

Curt Miersma.  Because of your service and leadership, we have been blessed and challenged to keep serving the Lord and fighting the good

fight of faith.  We also want to give many thanks to Deacon Kent Schaap.  Because of your faithful service we are better stewards of what the

Lord has blessed us with.  We offer our prayers, encouragement and readiness to the new elders Glen Schoolmeester and Dave Holm.   We

also pray for and support our new deacon, Clyde Kreun.  May God richly bless all the prayers, work and service of the family of God in 2017!

The Combined Evening Service will be in the Reformed Church at 6:30 p.m.
Next Sunday, January 15: Rev. Duane Tinklenberg will be leading both of our services. The Combined Evening Service will be in our church

 at 6:30 p.m.
This week Pastor Josh will be attending a continuing education course and conference in California. If you have any pastoral needs,

 please contact your district elder.
    The Church Statistics from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016 are as follows: Births - 0; Baptisms - 1; Marriages - 2;

New Members - 1; Deaths - 3; Transferred Out - 6. We praise God that this past year we could celebrate 100 years of God’s faithfulness

to our congregation and we look forward to what God will do in 2017 and beyond!
Please note: The Church Council Meeting will be held January 17 instead of January 10.
We are in need of more volunteers for helping in the nursery at the Evening Service. If we can have about 6 volunteers, you would have a

turn in the nursery about once in three months. This is not a huge time commitment. If you are willing to help out in this way, please see

 Cal Tinklenberg.
The Hostess Supper, sponsored by the Chandler Christian School Mother’s Club, will be held  Friday, January 13, 2017.  Snow date

is Saturday January 14, 2017. Our entertainment is the Hallelujah Hooligans.  If anyone wants to come and hasn't been invited yet, please

contact Sandy Hoekman at 507-836-8408 by this Wednesday, January 11. Thank you for your continued support!
Family Soccer Night will start this Wednesday, January 11 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.  All school age youth are encouraged to play, as

well as semi-agile adults. Let’s have some fun inside the warm Chandler Christian School gym this winter!
Cornerstone Prison Church is asking for donations of yarn. The inmates at the South Dakota State Penitentiary have the opportunity to

knit hats for children in need. The prison does not provide the yarn, so we ask churches and individuals to help with this ministry. Thank you

 for your generosity.
BIBLE STUDY FOR WOMEN - All women of the community are invited to study Elijah and Elisha, “Prophets with Power”.  Their

fearless prophecies and remarkable miracles reveal the holy God who punishes sin and yet extends grace to the undeserving.   The spring

session of Coffee Break begins Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 9:30 a.m in the Fellowship Room of First CRC in Edgerton. Children’s

Bible Story Hour for ages 3-Kindergarten is available.  Nursery will be provided.  Books are located in the southwest corner of the new

kitchragemenen at First CRC.   If you have questions, contact Thea (442-3512 or 227-9513) or Jean (442-5384).
The 2017 Day of Encout at Dordt College will be here soon, on Sat., February 4.  It is a day to inspire, encourage, and equip all God's

people for ministry.  The day includes fellowship and workshops for every person of the church: students, mothers, deacons, musicians,

shepherds, fathers, volunteers, leaders, helpers, worshipers, broken people, and more.  The keynote speaker will be Dr. Ed Stetzer,

executive director of LifeWay Research, a prolific author and trainer of pastors and church planters on six continents.  We are planning on meeting

at church at 6:30 a.m. to carpool to the event.  If 10 or more people register together by the early bird deadline of January 24, the per-person

price will be reduced to $45. After January 25, rates increase to $65/person.  Please let Pastor Josh know by phone/text at 507-329-1258 or

email before the January 24 deadline if you would like to go to this exciting event.

Jan.17 - 7:00 PM Elder’s Meeting.  7:30 PM Council Meeting. (Note change of date).
Feb 10 - We will be attending worship service in Sioux Falls.
