Continue to pray for the Schaap family as Anne’s brother-in-law is not doing well.

Please keep Sharla Vander Woude in your prayers as she hopes to reach the end of her radiation treatments soon.

Remember in your prayers the Cadets, counselors and volunteers at the Camp Elk Run International Cadet Camporee in the Black Hills from July 12-19.

Keep the Chandler Youth Group in your prayers as 10 of them will be leaving for the Rocky Mountain High Youth Event in Estes Park, CO. They will be leaving on Friday and returning on Wednesday, July 26.

We remember all of our members who reside at area care facilities. Chris Sankey,  Dick Talsma and Marie Vander Top who reside at Edgebrook’s Assisted Living, Gert Krosschell who resides at Edgebrook Apartments and Geneva Peters who resides at the Pipestone Good Samaritan Care Facility.


This Sunday, July 16: A special welcome to Jeff and Christy Faber who will be sharing about their important work in Nicaragua. The Combined Evening Service will be in our church at 6:30 p.m.

Next Sunday, July 23: The Combined Evening Service will be in the Reformed Church at 6:30.

On Sunday morning, July 30, we will be having a potluck breakfast! Please bring your favorite Sunday morning breakfast to share. Egg bakes, muffins, rolls or fruit are a few ideas. We will have coffee and juice ready. So please join us on July 30 at 9:00 a.m. for breakfast!

The Chandler Christian School Board will be conducting their annual Summer Drive during the month of July.  Please consider making a generous financial donation; funds received help get us through the lean summer months.  Thank you!

MOTHERS CLUB FUNDRAISER: Come out to Geri Sankey's sale and enjoy some delicious food from the CCS Mother's Club.  Our proceeds will be going towards the fund to replace our doors and windows at the school.  Sale starts at 10:00 a.m. on August 5.  Thanks for your support!

Southwest MN Christian High School's registration packets were distributed last week. If you did not receive your packet, please contact the school office (442-4471). We are looking forward to another year of educating and challenging students to know, love, and serve God and others. Registration is open to anyone who would like to attend SWMCH and we welcome the opportunity to meet with you about becoming an SWMCH student. Please contact the school office or check our website:

Southwest MN Christian High School's Co-Curricular Activities Meeting scheduled for Monday, July 24 will be held at Edgerton Christian Elementary School beginning at 7:00 p.m. (Please note the change of location due to bleacher work being done at the high school).

The American Red Cross will be holding a blood drive at the Reformed Church in Edgerton on Tuesday, July 25 from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m.  Please contact Betty Huisken at 507-227-8416 or to make an appointment to donate. Making an appointment keeps the day going smoothly and the waiting time not so long. You may also make an appointment online. The need is constant and summer is the most critical time of the year. Please give blood!

The Sawyers will hold their 11th Annual Backyard Gospel Concert featuring the Master's Voice Quartet at 7:00 pm Saturday, July 29 at 321 Rock River Dr. in Edgerton.  There will be a freewill offering for the Hope Haven Wheelchair Program. Bring lawn chairs.  In case of rain the concert will be at the 1st CRC.  

Kendra Smiley has graciously accepted our invitation to share her life lessons on making the next right choice. She will be our featured speaker at a retreat on September 12 at the First Reformed Church in Sioux Center, Iowa. Invite some friends and send in your registrations today to the retreat hosted by Bible League International Volunteers. The deadline for registering for the retreat is August 25. The day will conclude with a wonderful banquet and a great concert by the Valley Male Chorus. Since 1979, they have presented over 600 concerts to serve children and adults with special needs through Hope Haven.
