Church Women's Christmas program at 6:30 p.m. There will be a shower of baby items to be donated to Helping Hands Pregnancy

Center of Worthington. The offering will be for Alpha Center. A lunch will follow in the Fellowship Hall.
Annual Congregational Meeting will be held following the Thanksgiving Worship Service. The Council has nominated the following men

for the office of Elder: Glen Talsma, Marvin Van Dam, Leon Vander Woude and Don Vogel. For Deacon: Chad Miersma, Ivan Vogel,

Harlow Schaap, Roger Talsma and Jason Vander Schaaf. Two elders and two deacons will be selected. The annual budget will be

presented for approval by the congregation. Following the congregational meeting the new Council will meet to re-organize itself for 2018.
Our Thanksgiving offering on Wednesday evening will be for missionary support.  Please consider giving generously as a thankful response

to God's grace since our missionary support offering is down for the year.  Our missionary family Glenn and Laura Adams serve in

Sucre, Bolivia.  Glenn and Laura both serve in Vida Y Luz Christian School, lead the Enfoque Bible study in their home, and work in

church planting.  Please pray for them as:  (1) Laura's grandmother had another stroke and is not doing well, (2) pray that running water

would be restored to their neighborhood in Sucre, (3) as they come to the end of the school year there are many loose ends to tie up and they

will be participating in a youth outreach evangelistic event on December 10, (4) a few members of the church plant, Vida Abundante, are

struggling with depression, and (5) pray for health for the Adams' extended family as some of their nephews are very sick. Our missionaries

Arbin and Bimala Pokharel serve in Kathmandu, Nepal.  They work in several church plants, five of which were destroyed by the

devastating earthquake in April, 2015.  Arbin has also been involved in developing Christian schools and working with Words of Hope by

producing more than 8 FM radio broadcasts and various media.  Bimala serves with Higher Ground, a non-profit cafe, bakery, and crafts

center with a mission to restore the lives of individuals at risk of exploitation, human trafficking and social injustices through awareness,

education counseling, socio-economic empowerment and sustainable business development.
Giving Tree Project - As a part of World Renew's Gap Gifts giving tree project, ornaments have been placed on the Christmas tree in

the fellowship hall.  You can take an ornament from the Christmas tree to buy one or more items in honor of a friend or family member.  Please

place your orders directly from World Renew either by donating online, filling out the order form in the back of the catalog and mailing it in

along with your check to World Renew, or by calling them.  If you would like to receive a printed gift-acknowledgment card before Christmas

to let loved ones know you made a gift to World Renew in their honor, place your order and request the cards by December 4.  Blank

cards to write your own gift-acknowledgment as well as extra catalogues are located on the table next to the Christmas tree.
Our Christmas Program is scheduled for Sunday Dec. 17 at the Evening Service. Practice will be in place of Sunday school times the

first 3 Sundays in December. Preschool -12th grade will need to be at all 3 practice times. More information to come. Please note: The adult

Octet Group singing at our Christmas program will be practicing immediately after the morning service on December 3, 10 & 17.
As we come into the winter season if we are under a blizzard warning, all church activities will be cancelled. For weather related

church cancellations or postponements, listen to Luverne, K101 or Slayton, KJOE at 106.1
Young adults –are you looking for a way to connect with other Christian young adults?  Consider coming to Escape 605 for one of these

two outings.  This is limited to churches within our classis and any friends you might want to invite.  If you are post-high school to age 24, the

date will be November 18.  If you are 25-35, the date will be December 2.  The group will share a meal after the Escape Room.  To reserve a

spot and find out more details, please contact Rev. Adam Eisenga at adamteisenga@gmail.com or on facebook.
Scholarship Grants Available:  A portion of the Classis Minnesota ministry share for Christian Higher Education received during the

previous year is awarded in February to Christian college students in the form of scholarship grants.  Any students attending a

CRC-endorsed Christian college who completes an application form by the December 31 deadline is eligible.  Contact Pastor Josh
