Next Sunday, Oct. 29: At 2:00 p.m. Classis Minnkota invites you to join reformed Christians from our area in a worship service to be

held at First CRC in Edgerton, MN. This service will celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation and how the truths of the reformation

still resonate for us today. Please join us in praising God for his great faithfulness to his church. During this service we will be nourished by

God’s Word and the celebration of the Lord’s Supper. A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow. Through our time together, Jesus’

Church will be built up and readied to follow as disciples of his. We look forward to worshiping with you!  There will be no 6:30 pm service

 that evening.
From the Council This year, the synod of the CRC has discussed ways of helping those in poverty through a sustainable development model.

The fight against poverty must address the structures and systems that keep people poor.  In the past as a church we have participated in

the Operation Christmas Child shoe box program. While this is a good ministry, we as a church would like to change to a different program

of ministry.  As a church, during this Advent season we will be participating in a giving tree program with World Renew's Gift Catalogue.
Choir practices for the morning service on Oct. 29 in celebration of the 500th anniversary of the  Reformation  will be as follows.

Oct. 25, which is Wednesday evening and then early morning Oct. 29 before the service.

We have received word recently that the Chandler Reformed Church has made the decision to discontinue the joint evening service in

their church.  The elders have decided to continue a weekly evening service in our church at 6:30 pm.  We invite all members of the community

to continue to join us for the evening service and we ask that you keep the planning and volunteers for our worship services in your prayers.
The Chandler Christian School will be having their annual Fall Baked Potato Supper and Donation Sale on November 3. Free will

Bakes Potato Supper will run from 5:30-7:30 p.m. with the donation sale starting at 7:00 p.m.
World Renew invites you to join us in changing the story for communities around the world. Through daily devotions and activities you

can gather with your family to learn how God is moving families beyond poverty, hunger, and oppression and equipping them with skills to

succeed. Join us on November 5 for this year's World Hunger Sunday!!

The Outreach Committee is looking for 5 volunteers to each cook a turkey for the Harvest Meal on Saturday, November 18.  Please

contact John Busman or Ivan Vogel if you are willing to do this. Thank you!
Cancer survivors, whether you  are  currently in the trenches of your cancer journey or now live in  the  months  or  years of  its shadow,

you are invited to four sessions that  include faith-filled stories of Christians with cancer, encouragement, and above all  the hope that  is  only

found through our precious Lord.  The evenings are facilitated by a cancer survivor.  Every session is independent and different from the  others

and so you can join us for one evening or for all.  4 consecutive Mondays: 7:00 p.m. October 16, 23, 30, and Nov. 6.  Place: Bethel CRC

 in Edgerton.

     THANK YOU
We would like to thank everyone for your prayers, words of comfort and acts of kindness in the recent passing of our mother and

grandmother! The cards, hugs, flowers, gifts and food given to us were a blessing and deeply appreciated! All the kindness and love shown to us

will never be forgotten. We will never be able to replace her, but her memory will always be in our hearts! THANK YOU!
