    This Sunday, Oct. 8: The Combined Evening Service will be in our church at 6:30.
    Next Sunday, Oct. 15: The Combined Evening Service will be in the Reformed church at 6:30.
    The Council has made a list of men who are eligible to serve as elder or deacon. A letter has been sent to these individuals. Please pray that

 the Holy Spirit will move these men to accept this nomination so we may have continued leadership in our church.
    Choir practices for the morning service on Oct. 29 in celebration of the 500th anniversary of the  Reformation  will be as follows: 

 Oct.15 (after the morning services) and also at 7:00 on Oct. 25 which is a Wednesday evening. Our last practice will then be early morning 

 Oct. 29 before the service. A link to the music has been sent to most of our previous choir members for at-home practice. If you have 

 been inadvertently overlooked on that email, please contact Rose with your email address so you can receive these links.
    On Sunday, October 29th, 2017, at 2pm Classis Minnkota invites you to join reformed Christians from our area in a worship service to be 

 held at First CRC in Edgerton, MN. This service will celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation and how the truths of the reformation

 still resonate for us today. Please join us in praising God for his great faithfulness to his church. During this service we will be nourished by 

 God’s Word and the celebration of the Lord’s Supper. A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow. Through our time together, Jesus’ 

 Church will be built up and readied to follow as disciples of his. We look forward to worshiping with you!  There will be no 6:30 pm service 

 that evening.
    The Chandler Christian School 5th-8th grade students will be having a tip night at the Pipestone Pizza Ranch on Wednesday, October 18

 from 5-8:00 pm. All support would be greatly appreciated by these kids! Thank you!
    The Outreach Committee is looking for 5 volunteers to each cook a turkey for the Harvest Meal on Saturday, November 18.  Please

 contact John Busman or Ivan Vogel if you are willing to do this. Thank you!
    Cancer survivors, whether you  are  currently in the trenches of your cancer journey or now live in  the  months  or  years of  its shadow, 

 you are invited to four sessions that  include faith-filled stories of Christians with cancer, encouragement, and above all  the hope that  is  only

 found through our precious Lord.  The evenings are facilitated by a cancer survivor.  Every session is independent and different from the  others  

 and so you can join us for one evening or for all.  4 consecutive Mondays: 7:00 p.m. October 16, 23, 30, and Nov. 6.  Place: Bethel CRC

 in Edgerton.
    The Southwest MN Christian High School music department will perform their fall concert on Thursday, October 19 beginning at 7:00 p.m.

 in the school gymnasium.  The music selections will include childhood folk music, common songs from Sunday School, and songs from the 

 years students were born. Also premiering are two new pep-band pieces for the upcoming winter athletic activities.  Please join as we enjoy

 the talents of our students and encourage them in their fine arts activities.
    A seminar--Policies, Statuses, and Lives of Immigrants & Refugees--will be hosted by New Roots Ministry on Saturday, October 21

 from 10AM--2:15PM. It will be in the Community Room of the Sioux Falls Ministry Center (225 E. 11th St., Sioux Falls, SD 57104) Speakers 

 will include Amon Eustache as the keynote speaker, and two people who share their personal experiences as refugees and with 

 DACA--Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. Learn, be inspired, and enjoy an ethnic meal! There is no cost! If able, please RSVP by

    The Brown Family from LeMars, IA will be performing patriotic, praise & worship, and a little holiday music at Southwest MN Christian 

 High  School on Friday, November 10 during an evening performance beginning at 7:00 p.m. Please mark your calendars for an evening of

 soaking in the  sounds of remembrance, joy, and celebration! Tickets are $10 for advance or $12 at the door. Contact school office
