Blom Family Benefit:  Ryan Blom was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma in early May.  Since then, he has
undergone four surgeries to remove tumors and repair vertebrae.  He has completed two rounds of radiation and is continuing immunotherapy.   Ryan’s cancer and tumor growths on the spine have significantly decreased his strength and range of motion, especially in his legs.  Ryan
hopes to begin physical therapy as he recovers from radiation treatments.  A benefit is being planned for Ryan, his wife Christa, and their
children Kalli, Megan and Zack on Wednesday, August 22, Ryan’s 35th birthday, from 5:00-8:00 pm in the Edgerton City Park.  A Pulled  Pork or Hotdog meal will be served from the South Shelter.  A freewill donation will be collected to help defray medical costs, purchase a
handicap accessible van, and support planned wheelchair accessible home remodel costs.  All checks can made to Blom Benefit First CRC.   Donations may also be made at First State Bank in Edgerton to the Blom Family account established by Edgerton First CRC.
Southwest MN Christian High School will be starting the 2018-2019 school year on Tuesday, August 21. We will begin the day with chapel and all are welcome to join us starting at 8:20 a.m. in the school gymnasium. Please keep all our area schools in your prayers for a safe environment to learn and grow throughout this coming school year. Please keep the administrators, teachers, support staff, students, student's families, coaches, bus drivers, and school boards in your prayers as decisions are made and instruction is given to the cherished blessings of your children, grandchildren, and neighbors. May God's light be shown as we grow in learning, serving, and loving God and others.
