    We remember all of our members who reside at area care facilities. Chris Sankey who resides at Edgebrook Care Center, 

 Dick Talsma who resides at Edgebrook’s Assisted Living and Gert Krosschell who resides at Edgebrook Apartments.   

     Continue to pray for Al Prins who has been moved to Edgebrook Care Center for continued care.

   This Sunday evening, we are invited to join the Reformed Church at 6:30 p.m. for their RCW Christmas program instead of the evening 
 service in our church.  They will also be accepting baby items for Helping Hands Pregnancy Center in Worthington.  The offering will be for
 the Center of Hope.
    At the annual congregational meeting
the 2019 General Budget was approved. For the office of elder, Bruce Kreun and Pastor 
 Harold Westra were chosen. For the office of deacon, Dale Kruse and Rich Vander Ziel were chosen. Following the congregational meeting
 the 2019 Council was reorganized as follows: Council President: Don Vogel; Vice-President: Pastor Harold Westra; Clerk: Glen 
 Schoolmeester; Clerk of Records: Dave Holm; Vicar: Bruce Kreun; Elder at Large: Glen Talsma; Chairman or Deacons: Rich Vander Ziel.
    Church service cancellation
notice due to bad weather will be sent by text and also will be announced on the radio, 101.1 Luverne and
 106.1 Slayton. If we are under a blizzard warning 1 hour before any church activity it will automatically be cancelled.
    The Combined Youth Group from our church and the Reformed Church
are going to have a tip night this Wednesday, December 5 at
 the Slayton Pizza Ranch. They will be serving from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tips will go towards toys for the Ronald McDonald House.
    Prison Ministry:
We are scheduled to attend worship service at Cornerstone on December 14.
    Save the date for our childrens Christmas Program
which will be on December 16 at 6:00 p.m.  Practices will be in place of Sunday 
 School at 9:00 on December 2, 9, and 16. 
    The Angel Tree
is your opportunity to bring a smile to a residents face this Christmas.  Edgebrook Care Center invites you to pick a 
 residents name from the Angel Tree and give a little gift of joy.  No Matter what age you are, the joy that comes from giving and receiving never 
 gets old.  Stop in the business office if you have any questions.
    Scholarship Opportunity: 
A portion of the Classis Minnesota ministry share for Christian Higher Educating received during the previous 
 year is awarded in February to Christian college students in the form of scholarship grants. Any student attending a CRC-endorsed Christian 
 college who completes an application form by the December 31 deadline is eligible. Contact Pastor Josh for an application form or provide him
 with the student's email address and a form will be emailed directly to the applicant. 
    Southwest MN High School Christmas Music Program:
The bands and choirs at SWC are excited to present their Christmas 
 Concert "Gaudete!" on Monday, December 10th at 7:00 pm.  The concert will be held at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, Edgerton. 
 Come rejoice with us as we celebrate the birth of our King!

Southwest MN Christian High School would like to thank everyone who donated, attended, and contributed to the donation sale this year. In 
 large and small ways, it all adds up to a night of support for SWMCH and more importantly the support of Christian education for students in
 our communities. The wonderful opportunity to share God's story on a daily basis with educational instruction is a blessing to cherish and share. 
 The amount given to date is $54,000.
