   ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Today we celebrate the Lord's Supper at our morning worship service.
From the Council: The council has decided to change the evening service time to 6:00 p.m. on a year-round basis, beginning the first Sunday

 of February.

Memory Verses: For our evening services, we are reading one Lord's Day of the Heidelberg Catechism each week.  In our bulletin each

week, we will list a memory verse that corresponds to one of those questions and answers.  We encourage you to memorize these passages

with your family for that week.  In Pastor John Piper's article "Why Memorize Scripture?" (placed in your mailboxes), he gives several reasons

why memorizing Scripture is so essential to the Christian life: conformity to Christ, daily triumph over sin, daily triumph over Satan, comfort

and counsel for people you love, communicating the gospel to unbelievers, and communion with God in the enjoyment of his person and ways.

Will you join us in this challenge for 2018?
The church visitors of our Classis will be making their annual visit with our Council on February 13.

CCS BASKETBALL TOURNEY:  On Saturday, February 3rd, CCS will be hosting their annual basketball tourney.  Please come and

support our players and stay for lots of great food in our concession stand! Games will start at 8:30am and we will have cinnamon and caramel

rolls on hand.  Hope to see you, thanks in advance for your support!
CHANDLER RIDGE RINGERS are looking for 3 additional hand bell ringers & a director.  Performances are roughly once per month

with weekly practices.  Basic music knowledge preferred! Contact Trish Dysthe for more information: 507.220.0546

Cornerstone Prison Church will be having Faith Fellowship this weekend at the South Dakota State Penitentiary. Please pray that God will

be glorified and the hearts and minds of the guys will be open to learning about how Jesus can help them get well. John 5:1-9. Thank you!
Please also keep in mind the Season of Giving. During the 17-18 basketball season, SWMCH is asking for your help in supporting

Trentin Bass, H- BC student injured in a football game, and three SW families in the midst of cancer treatments, Mark Van Dam,

Ryan Vanderby, and Rob Veldkamp. Collection boxes will be at the gate tables and concession stand during the basketball season and

during the month of January, all concession proceeds will be directed to the Season of Giving opportunity. Thank you for your love and

support of each of these families in so many ways.
Please remember, you are always welcome to join us at SWCH for chapel, stop in to walk through school, seek ways to support the

school, and reminisce and remember your story and the story of your classmates as being part of God’s great and wonderful story and plan. Hope

to see you during the New Year!
