    We remember all of our members who reside at area care facilities. Chris Sankey and Dick Talsma who reside at Edgebrook’s Assisted 

 Living, Gert Krosschell who resides at Edgebrook Apartments and Geneva Peters who resides at the Pipestone Good Samaritan Care Facility.

   ANNOUNCEMENTS:   

    This Sunday, we install Glen Talsma and Don Vogel as elder and Chad Miersma and Roger Talsma as deacon.  Today we also want to

 thank retiring elders Duane Reitsma and Norm Kruse and deacons Steve Hoekman and Arvin VanderWoude for their service these past

 three years.
    On Monday, January 8 at 7:00 p.m. Gems and Cadets will be showing a 40 minute video of the 2017 Cadet Camporee in the Black 

 Hills instead of a regular meeting. The parents of the Gems and Cadets are invited, as well as the entire congregation, to come watch and see 

 what Cadet Camporee is all about.   Snack will provided after the video. 
    CHANDLER RIDGE RINGERS are looking for 3 additional hand bell ringers & a director.  Performances are roughly once per month 

 with weekly practices.  Basic music knowledge preferred! Contact Trish Dysthe for more information: 507.220.0546
    Southwest MN Christian High School’s homecoming week is scheduled for January 8-12. During the week, there are two home games. 

 The girls will play at home on Tuesday, January 9 hosting Red Rock Central. The boys will play at home on Thursday, January 11, 

 hosting Hills-Beaver Creek. There will be basketball shooting skill competitions at half times of the varsity games for any and all alumni 

 participants. During the game on Thursday night, we will recognize the classes of 1958, 1968, 1978, 1988, 1998, and 2008. Please look for 

 more details and the pictures of each of the classes we are recognizing by going to the SWMCH website: www.swmch.org. Also on Thursday 

 night, the junior class will be serving a walking taco supper. Hotdogs will be on the menu along with drinks and homemade bars. Taco meal 

 will be $6.00. Hotdog meal will be $4.00.
     Please also keep in mind the Season of Giving. During the 17-18 basketball season, SWMCH is asking for your help in supporting 

 Trentin Bass, H- BC student injured in a football game, and three SW families in the midst of cancer treatments, Mark Van Dam, 

 Ryan Vanderby, and Rob Veldkamp. Collection boxes will be at the gate tables and concession stand during the basketball season and 

 during the month of January, all concession proceeds will be directed to the Season of Giving opportunity. Thank you for your love and 

 support of each of these families in so many ways.
     Please remember, you are always welcome to join us at SWCH for chapel, stop in to walk through school, seek ways to support the 

 school, and reminisce and remember your story and the story of your classmates as being part of God’s great and wonderful story and plan. Hope

    Classes available at ATLAS for Life in Pipestone: Financial Peace starting Tuesday, Jan. 23 at 7 pm.  Women's Bible Study, "Start 

 Strong, Finish Strong" by Christine Caine, starting  Tuesday, Jan. 23 at 1-3 pm. "Learning How to be an Effective Mentor" on Jan. 18 and

    The Chandler Youth Group would like to thank you for supporting us with our fundraiser.  We donated 26 boxes of Lego’s and 6 gift cards 

 to the Ronald McDonald House in Sioux Falls along with a large tote of Lego’s for the kids to play with while they are staying at the house.
