Next week Sunday, July 1, we welcome Rev. Duane Tinklenberg to lead our morning worship service. For our evening service,
the congregation has been invited to worship with Ebenezer Christian Reformed Church in Leota at 6:30 p.m.  Since Pastor Josh will be on
vacation beginning on Wednesday, contact your Care Group elder or deacon with any needs.
This week, we look forward to Vacation Bible School at the Reformed Church.  The congregation is invited to join us for a nightly supper
at 5:30 p.m. (freewill donation).  VBS will run from 6-8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. (Note: Please bring a paint shirt along!)  Each night
the kids offering will be for Happy Houses in Haiti.  Friday will include a 5:30 p.m. supper, a 6:00 p.m. program, and ice cream floats after
the program.  VBS training for volunteers will be today at 11:30 or Monday night at 5 p.m. at the Reformed Church.
The painting of the interior of the church will be starting soon. They will also be varnishing the windows. The Council is asking that the
Church Education rooms, Young People’s room and the office be de-cluttered and organized as they plan on painting them first. If you have
been involved in the church education program, we ask for your assistance in going through the rooms and materials. Thank you!
The Sunday School program raised $619.15 for their World Renew Gap Gifts project this winter.  Thank you for your generous gifts,
 Great Job!
Community Kickball night will start July 11 at the Chandler Park, 7:30-8:30. All are welcome!
The board for the Bible for Missions Thrift Store invites all volunteers and their spouses to a picnic as thanks for all the hours you
have worked. The picnic will be held in the ARC Center at the American Reformed Church at 1720 N. Burlington, at 6 P.M. on June 26. Please

Ladies:  It's time to start preparing for another season of Apples of Gold!  Apples of Gold is building up marriages, mothers, and
lives worldwide.  It's not just a mentoring program, it's not just a cooking class...it's a nurturing, inter-generational connection that teaches
women how to love their husbands, love their children, and how to practice submission, hospitality, kindness, and purity  A new season of AOG
 will be held September-November 2018.  Meetings will be Mondays (9/17, 9/24, 10/8, 10/15, 10/29, 11/5, 11/12) from 4:30-7:30 at First CRC
in Edgerton.  There are six lessons and then a grand finale supper with spouses.  The first hour is a cooking demonstration, the second hour is a
Bible study, and the third hour we enjoy the meal that was prepared.  If you have participated in AOG in the past, you know what a blessing it is!   Please encourage/invite someone new to participate in the program. If you are interested in being involved, please contact
Karen Fey (507-227-6392), Fay Van Essen (507-920-0729), or Ruth Kooiker (507-879-3373).

     THANK YOU
The summer months bring the excitement of warm weather, vacations and extra time to enjoy creation. Most of our Luke Society ministries
are situated in warm climates all year long, but they also face issues such as drought, extreme heat and tropical storms. In the face of these
obstacles they are undeterred in their efforts to provide health to their people. It's a joy to serve alongside Chandler Christian Reformed Church
as together we support these directors and their passion to share the Gospel. Thank you for your continued support of the Luke Society.
