   ANNOUNCEMENTS:

As this is the last day of Sunday School, we would like to thank all of our Sunday School and Catechism teachers for their dedication to

our covenant youth. Please return the teacher manuals to the church office.
The Council has decided to have the interior of the church painted this summer. Please consider donating to the Building Fund to help cover

 these costs.
We have heard many favorable comments when a Praise Team leads the singing during the church service. However, we are in NEED

of more singers (especially MEN)! We are going to revamp how it has been done in the past with 3 teams and go with one list of singers. You

will be called at random if you are available to sing on that particular Sunday and you may say yes or no if it doesn't work for you. At first we

are going to continue with having a praise team once a month. If we get enough people willing to serve in this way, we may try and go to twice

a month or sing every 3rd Sunday. We are asking you (young and old) to PLEASE consider serving in this way. There's a signup sheet by

 the kitchen window.
VBS VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: (June 25-29) This year's theme is Shipwrecked: Rescued by Jesus. We will venture onto an uncharted

island where kids survive, thrive and become anchored in the truth that Jesus carries them through life's storms.  Volunteer sign-up sheets have

been placed at both churches.  We look forward to an awesome week of learning about Jesus and serving our community. Please sign up

to volunteer before May 13.  Contact Karen 760.412.1806 or Sandy 507.227.0585 with any questions. Thank you!

Bolivia Update: Please continue to pray for our missionaries, Glenn and Laura Adams, in Bolivia. Their city has been on lockdown for

over a week due to political unrest. read the handout called “Sucre on Lockdown” in your mailboxes for an update.
To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under Heaven….. Ecclesiastes 3. This is the Bible verse for the month of

April at Southwest MN Christian High School. And yes, time for another school year to conclude. We are thankful for entrusting the

Christian educational instruction of your children, grandchildren, and church youth to us this year.  Part of our spring activities is the annual

building fund drive. If you have not been contacted and would like to contribute to the physical school building needs, please forward

your contribution to the school office – 550 W. Elizabeth, Edgerton.  We also are facing a shortfall in the general operating fund. Due to

enrollment changes at the beginning of the year and families struggling to meet their tuition costs, the general fund budget is running low on

funds. Again, God’s provision is that we have been gifted a matching gift challenge. An anonymous donor is matching gifts for the general

fund totaling up to $10,000. Please earmark the area of your contribution in the memo line, building or general fund, for record keeping

purposes. Thank you for keeping SWMCH families, faculty and staff, and school board in your prayers! We also thank you for your

continued financial support and consideration in supporting year end needs.

The 39th Annual New Life Treatment Center Horse Ride-a-Thon will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2018. We will begin

at Pipestone County Fairgrounds and end at New Life Treatment Center in Woodstock. Lunch will be served following the ride. We

encourage everyone to join in part of all of the events. Lunch, awards and prizes at 1:30 p.m. In case of bad weather, listen to our local

radio stations. We invite supporters and riders to come to New Life Treatment Center at 11:00 a.m. for lunch, prizes and awards, even if

the weather is bad. To support the Horse Ride-a-Thon you can support a rider or you can mail your contribution to: New Life Treatment

Center, PO Box 38, Woodstock, MN 56186. Proceeds will go towards furnishings and equipment to benefit our clients. Call 507-777-4321

for information or to volunteer or register. Volunteers to set up, drive rigs, deliver snacks to the trail and serve food are needed.
