ITEMS OF PRAYER AND PRAISE
We remember all of our members who reside at area care facilities. Chris Sankey who resides at Edgebrook Care Center,
Dick Talsma who resides at Edgebrook’s Assisted Living and Gert Krosschell who resides at Edgebrook Apartments.
Please be in prayer for Norm Kruse as he recovers from a car accident and was in the hospital beginning on Wednesday.
This Sunday evening our scripture text is from Psalm 95, a call to worship.
Next Sunday morning
we anticipate the baptism of Philip Benson Christoffels, infant son of
Josh and Karen Christoffels. Rev. LeRoy Christoffels will be
bringing the message.
Next Sunday evening Pastor Josh will be exchanging pulpits with Pastor Scott Muilenberg of First CRC in Edgerton.
This Sunday is the kick off to our Sunday school season for all ages. All adults are invited to come to the men's
and women's Bible studies, beginning each Sunday at 9.a.m. Carolyn Prins and Leona Talsma will be teaching
grades 1-2, Cindy Vogel will be teaching grades 3-5, Curt Miersma will be teaching grades 6-8 catechism, and
Pastor Josh will be teaching High School catechism. Please be in prayer for these teachers and students, and
encourage your children as they grow in Christ.
This Thursday our church will be hosting the fall classis meeting of Classis Minnkota. Please be in prayer for
this meeting with many decisions that have to be made. Delegates from our church will be pastor Josh,
Elder Glen Talsma, and Deacon Roger Talsma.
The Gems and Cadets will kick off the year this Wednesday, September 11 at 7:00 p.m. at the Chandler
Christian Reformed Church. All 2nd through 8th grade girls and boys are invited to join us.
The Chandler Christian School Board is in the process of having repairs done on the roof in addition to sealing up
old window openings around the gymnasium. The estimated cost is nearly $5,000 to complete the repairs. Please
consider making a donation to help cover the costs of these repairs. Thank you.
The board of the Bible for Missions Thrift Store invites all volunteers and their spouses to a dinner as thanks for
the hours you have worked. If you are interested in becoming a
volunteer, please come and learn about our work.
The dinner will be held at the ARC center at the American Reformed Church at 1720 N. Burlington,
Worthington, Minnesota, at 6 P.M. on September 19, 2019. Please let Joyce Aykens (507-372-2017) or
Verla Wheeler (507-360-5811) know how many are coming from your church by September 16. You can also sign
up in the store.
World Renew invites you to an evening with Jim Zylstra (retiring and returning to the US from serving in Tanzania)
and Wendy Hammond (World Renew Church Relations). The gathering will be available on two different nights: at
7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 17, at the Luverne Christian Reformed Church, 605 N. Estey St., Luverne MN or at
7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 18 at our church here in Chandler. All are welcome!

of our baby boy Philip. Praise be to the Lord
